Privacy Policy
Escalearn is an online Spanish course run from Spain. This page explains what we collect when you use www.escalearn.com, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short and we never sell your data.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, the name you choose, and a password (stored encrypted). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
- Learning progress: which lessons you finished, your scores, where you left off, and your unit test answers and results.
- Community messages: what you post in the group chat, shown to other signed-in learners with your name.
- Your plan: whether you’re on Free or Max.
Why we use it
Only to run the course: to sign you in, save your progress, show your results, run the community chat and send account emails (confirming your email, resetting your password). We don’t send marketing emails without asking and we don’t show ads.
Under the GDPR, our legal basis is providing the service you signed up for (contract), and keeping the community safe (legitimate interest).
